Butt/Thigh lift/implant in San Antonio, Texas (TX)

A butt/thigh lift/implant is a cosmetic surgery to enhance the backside by inserting silicone implants, as well as contour the thighs.

The surgery is done as an outpatient procedure using general anesthesia. The implant surgery involves making a small slit in either side of the crack between the buttock cheeks and placing the implants deep within the buttock tissue. The surgeon is careful to avoid nerves in the region and the bony area where the patient sits. The butt/thigh lift removes excess skin and fat that cause bulging and sagging. Liposuction is often used in conjunction with the surgery, to further contour the buttocks and thighs.

Swelling can be visible for one month after surgery; a compression garment is worn to minimize the swelling. Patients should avoid sitting directly on their buttocks or lying on their back for three weeks. A return to physical activity is allowed after six weeks.

General surgical risks include bleeding, infection and adverse reactions to anesthesia. Butt cheek asymmetry, shifting implants and excessive swelling are risks specific to this surgery.

The results of this cosmetic surgery are a well-rounded buttocks shape with a smoother, firmer look and no visible scarring. Patients acquire increased self confidence and pleasure with their appearance post-operatively.
