I believe punch excision is what this deep ice pick scar needs. It looks like it needs a stitch or a bit of skin from me to fill it. I'm desperate to have whatever it takes as it's emotionally upsetting me.
I don’t do punch excision, as it still leaves residual contour problems. You can’t clioe a circle into a line. I prefer to do an elliptical excision around the acne punch site using an 11-blade knife, and laser resurface the skin with Sciton Erbium laser, then profractional laser in the zone. Using loupe magnification and jeweler's forceps, the hole is gone. A single 6-0 proline site is placed. The laser zone heals the excision site w imperceptible scarring. The suture is removed in three to five days. The face is cleansed three times a day with soap and Aquaphor is applied three to five times a day until the skin resurfaces. Many patients to severe acne pick mark excursions and a Mentor peel on this fashion with marvelous effects and outcome. My coordinator will tell you pricing if you contact me at MentorPlasticSurgery.com.
