How do I participate as a patient for eye surgery with medical students?

When a medical student is learning how to perform plastic surgery or eye surgery, can individuals volunteer to receive plastic surgery procedures? How do the students get their practice?

Look for teaching hospitals with plastic surgery residencies. However, I doubt they would do it for free.

Future physicians go through a training phase, called a residency, after medical school. During the residency, they learn most aspects of patient care, including surgery. At some surgical training programs, the residents have their own clinic through which patients can be treated with the supervision of an experienced attending physician. Check with the surgical (plastic) department of the teaching institution near you to see if such a program exists. Usually, the patient's fees are very minimal.

You can check with the opthalmology department at your local university center.
