A Breast Lift can change the appearance of the breasts giving the entire body a more youthful look. If you are considering a Breast Lift, you should get ready for the procedure and find out how to prepare for a Breast Lift.
Consult with Your Plastic Surgeon
You will have to be consulted by your plastic surgeon and get a few blood tests to determine if you are a suitable candidate for the Breast Lift surgery. There are a few drugs or health conditions that may cause complications during or after the Breast Lift surgery.
You should talk with your plastic surgeon and decide on where to get the incisions, so that you will have minimal scarring that is also less visible. The Breast Lift surgery may be performed in several ways, so you should decide on the method as well. Look at a few before and after pictures to make sure you know what to expect after the surgery.
Prepare for the Breast Lift Surgery
3 to 4 weeks prior to the surgery, you should stop the administration of aspirin or any other non steroidal anti inflammatory medication. These drugs may slow down the blood coagulation, and this may result in prolonged bleeding during and after the surgery.
Stop taking oral contraceptives 3 to 4 weeks before the surgery. These will also interfere with blood coagulation. Your plastic surgeon may recommend you take some oral antibiotics 24 or 48 hours prior to the surgery to prevent possible post operatory infections.
