Breast implants, also known as breast enlargement or breast enhancement, is a surgical process by which the breasts are increased in size. How the Procedure Works

However, any form of strenuous activity should not be engaged in for at least two to three weeks. During your recovery, you may experience certain side effects which are only to be expected. These side effects may include temporary swelling, soreness, a change in nipple sensation, and even bruising. These side effects can last up to three to six months.

As you may already be aware, plastic surgery such as breast augmentation can be quite expensive. As a matter of fact, it will run you about $3,000 to $4,000. Most insurance policies do not cover breast implants, so make sure if you really want this surgery that you will be able to afford it.

The Risks involved with Breast Implants

As with any surgery, you do run certain risks whenever you get breast implants put in. The main risk that involved with breast implants is that they may eventually need to be removed or replaced. This is due to certain problems that may arise such as deflation, scar tissue around the implant, bleeding, or even infection. Another risk from breast implant surgery is Capsular Contracture, this condition happens when your body rejects the implants.  You may find that you have an increase or decrease in the sensitivity of the nipples, which is sometimes even permanent.
