Myth: Vaginal Rejuvenation Is Not Covered by Insurance

Fact: Although vaginal rejuvenation is not usually covered by an insurance plan or company policy as it is an elective surgery, some exceptions do sometimes exist. Some individuals are successful with their claim to have it fully or partially covered if the reason is because of extreme pain, or if there is a stress incontinence from laughing or coughing and the sort. After giving birth to children, many women have relaxed muscles in the upper part of the vagina, and the possibility of the bladder and urethra lowering. Myth: The Procedure Costs about $2,000 to $3,000

Fact: A vaginal rejuvenation procedure costs about $6,000 to $10,000, depending on what services the fee includes. Some costs include the general anesthesia, hospital stay and more, and others charge separately for the additional services. It rarely is covered by insurance as it is an elective surgery. Some clinics do, however, offer a financial payment plan option. Others require a 50 percent down payment before any procedure is performed. It is always wise to inquire on what services are included for the fee.

Myth: Vaginal Rejuvenation is Always Done by Laser

Fact: A vaginal rejuvenation surgery is sometimes done the traditional way, and can also be done with a laser technique. It does depend on the preference of the cosmetic surgeon. It is a good idea to ask the surgeon that you are considering, which method he will be utilizing.

Myth: Vaginal Rejuvenation Is Permanent

Fact: Vaginal rejuvenation surgery is designed to be permanent, but weight gain or pregnancy can fluctuate the success rate.
