How Long Do the Results from a Penis Enlargement Last?

When it comes to how long the results of male penis enhancement surgery last, every individual is different. Some get substantial enlargements of penis length and width, and hold on to them, while others barely manage fractions of an inch. Some men heal within weeks, others need months.

One thing is certain, by the time swelling and bruising subside and the new tissue assimilated by the body-- complete results won’t become evident until 3 to 6 months after surgery.

Making Your Penis Enlargement Last Longer

How long the results last also varies from individual to individual. There are factors inherent within the body systems and genetics that have an influence here. But, considering that there are 3 basic enhancement techniques-- results that last depend upon which operation is performed and the body’s response to it.

  1. Elongation Procedure.  These results are— permanent! This lengthening procedure severs two ligaments allowing the penis to increase up to 25 percent in length. Once the ligaments are cut, they don’t grow back, leaving you with a penis 1 to 2 inches longer.
  1. Injection Procedure.  To increase width, fat tissue is taken from other areas of the body, and injected into different places on the penis. In time, between 30 to 90 percent of this new penis width will be re-absorbed back into the body. It’s as if the penile cells have a memory of how much tissue the penis had on it and wants to revert back to those measurements.
  1. Skin Graft Procedure.  The more successful of the width enlargement procedures involves a choice of two different types of grafts (1) A flap of epidermal skin is taken from you, your thigh or buttocks and grafted to the penis, or (2) A method named the alloderm graft which uses strips of anti-rejection treated cadaver tissue grafted to the penis. If tissue rejection is not a factor in either of these methods, a longevity rate of 90 percent is expected.
