What to Expect from Liposuction Consultation?

Once a person commits to the idea of undergoing a cosmetic procedure, they might feel some anxiety about what will go on when they meet with their surgeon to discuss their options.  Generally, a surgeon will first meet with a patient in their office to discuss the patient’s goals for their treatment and the areas that the patient would like to have treated.  A patient will then be escorted to an exam room where they will be asked to undress and put on a gown.  The surgeon then will examine the areas on which the patient wants to have liposuction.  He might take “before” pictures or even draw marks on a patient’s body in order to better visualize the surgical procedure.  He might also make helpful suggestions on what type of procedure will work best as well as other procedures that might also be beneficial to the patient.

Liposuction Surgeon Questions

The patient will usually then be asked to redress and meet again with the surgeon to discuss the risks and benefits of a specific procedure  as well as to make sure that the patient’s vision and the vision of the surgeon are similar.  The plastic surgeon will be able to help answer the patient’s questions about liposuction itself, expected outcomes as well as recovery time.  The surgeon might also be able to answer the patients question about the price of the liposuction.

Talk to a Lipo Surgeon

Many excellent surgeons are available for liposuction consultation.  A good surgeon will be able to answer a patient’s questions and usually tries to establish a good rapport with the patient during this initial meeting.  The initial consult is very helpful for answering any questions a patient might have about liposuction.
