Most of the time the strawberry birthmark does not cause any problems and is not painful. In certain situations the birthmark may appear near the eyes, nose, or mouth. If it interferes with basic senses or functions like sight or breathing, it will need to be removed. There are a several ways that the strawberry birthmark can be treated.
