Srs Surgery

Sex reassignment surgery is a complicated procedure in which a person's sex is changed to the opposite sex. In other words, a male is changed to a female or a female is changed to a male. Also called genital reconstruction surgery or a sex-change operation, it normally involves reshaping the genitals. Obviously this is a highly specialized field of medicine and only a very skilled experienced surgeon should be chosen. SRS surgery is very complex and there can be a number of resulting complications including urinary problems and infection. The surgery is used as a treatment for those who have a gender disorder and on infants born without clear gender (intersex). The procedure is irreversible so anyone choosing to have this surgery should only do so after consulting carefully with medical personnel.
