Acne Cream

Acne cream is a medicated salve used to conceal, treat, and/or prevent acne. Because acne is caused by a variety of factors, users frequently must consider using a range of products to fully treat their respective conditions. Benzoyl Peroxide is the most common active ingredient in acne cream; however, it can often cause skin irritation because it is a highly reactive chemical compound. Recently, antioxidants like Resveratrol have been introduced as alternatives to Benzoyl Peroxide. While Benzoyl Peroxide and Resveratrol are often used to treat pre-existing acne, facial scrubs are a type of acne cream that can be used to prevent the development of acne. Tinted acne cream can be used to conceal already developed acne or the acne scars left by particularly bad breakouts. Oftentimes, doctors can recommend creams with estrogen, and recently, the estrogen in birth control pills has been used to treat acne in women also seeking to regulate reproduction. Isotretinoin is currently thought to be one of the best ingredients in acne creams.
