Implant Plastic Surgery

Despite a thorough regimen of diet and exercise, many people are unable to achieve the body physique they desire. Other people simply want to achieve a different look for their bodies. In cases like this, the only option may be implant plastic surgery. Some of the most popular places to have implant plastic surgery are on the breasts for women, and on the pecs and calves for men. Implant surgery can be a path to fit, healthy or just plain sexy look.

Breast Augmentation

For women, options to increase breast size are practically non-existent outside of implant plastic surgery. Breast implants are an increasingly popular way to get larger, fuller breasts. To perform this procedure, surgeons make an incision in the breast and insert an implant, usually a silicone casing filled with saline. These breast implants enhance the size and shape of the woman's breasts, giving them a fuller look. Many women experience a boost of self-confidence and self-esteem after having breast implants.

Pec and Calf Implants

Some men spend hours at the gym trying to hone their muscles, but sometimes the results just don't stick. One area that a lot of men focus on is the pectoral muscles, located in the upper chest area. They seek to have large pecs that project outward and are well toned. Pec implants can fix one of these problems - they can grant bulkier, projected pec muscles, but they cannot increase muscle tone. The only way to achieve that is to exercise your pec muscles regularly.

Pec implants are performed much like breast implants. Silicone implants are inserted directly below the pectoral muscles through an incision in the armpit, giving the pecs a bulkier look. Although the implants used for pec augmentation are silicone, which was regarded as a dangerous material, recent studies have proven there are no healthy risks from silicone implants, and pec implants have a different design that means they won't rupture or burst.

Calf implants have a similar sort of purpose to pec implants - they aim to give a person the look of having worked out for hours in the gym, without actually having to work out at all. For people who have reached their peak at the gym, or who simply can't achieve the kinds of results they want, calf implants may be the answer. Calf implants are made of the same silicone construction as pec implants, meaning they're very safe.
