Dr. Robert Kearney is a double Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery since1994. Dr. Kearney received his Medical Degree from Thomas Jefferson School in Philadelphia and completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Kearney then went on to complete his Plastic Surgery Residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville and finished with a Craniofacial Fellowship in Miami. . Dr. Karney is extremely talented surgeon who has changed the way surgeons do their procedures. Due to Dr. KarneyÕs focus on the endoscopic surgery of the breasts and face he was the first to introduce the Trans Umbilical breast augmentation to the West Coast of Florida. Dr. Kearney has also initiated micro-vascular breast reconstruction at the H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa while serving as the Director of the Micro Vascular Division. He continues to strive and stay on the cutting edge of new techniques in cosmetic surgery and skin rejuvenation. He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Kearney is a definite believer that people should be practical about their health and aging, and that surgery is only one view of body maintenance.
