Overview

Dr George L. Burruss has special interests in cosmetic and aesthetic surgery of the face, eyelids and ears, surgery of the breast and reconstruction of the nose after skin cancer. As the director of the local Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Team, Dr Burruss enjoys the challenges of pediatric cleft care, and he has traveled in the Pacific as part of RSF, The Reconstructive Surgery Foundation, Inc., to provide plastic surgery care to people in Micronesia and in Kenya. As a graduate of The University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences, Dr. Burruss has been in Plastic Surgery practice for over 18 years. He served as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Tennessee, Memphis and as Chief of Plastic Surgery, Acting, at the Veterans Administrative Medical Center.
