Overview
Dr Craig Bass is an accomplished board certified plastic surgeon serving his patients in the Boise area, Idaho. Dr. Bass is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has a deep interest in the healing arts which represents his principles and philosophy, and believes in creating an ideal blend of form, function and beauty through promoting beauty and self-esteem from within, as well as without. Dr. Bass formerly served in the United States Navy and the Navy Reserve. After receiving his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Dr. Bass embarked upon his medical career and went on to complete his degree in Medicine at the University of Miami Medical School, Florida. Upon completion of his internship at Presbyterian-St. LukeÕs Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, he received the Best Surgical Intern award in recognition of his dedication and skill. Dr. Bass then completed four years of general surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, and in his senior year received the Best Teachers award. He then had the honor of completing two years of plastic and reconstructive surgery under D. Ralph Millard, Jr., M.D., one of the most notable plastic surgeons in the world. Dr. Bass served as the director of the Burn Unit at the University of Miami for three years and held an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery for ten years. He currently has privileges at St. LukeÕs Regional Medical Center, Health South Treasure Valley Hospital and the Eagle Surgery Center in the Boise area. Dr. Bass is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and he is also a member of American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
