Radiesse is a derma filler that successfully and safely contours the face, and stimulates the body to produce new collagen which gives the face a younger more soft look. Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a water-based gel. Over time, the body absorbs the water-based gel, but the CaHA remains. Radiesse is injected underneath the skin and the results are immediately noticeable. The results last up to one year in many cases. Radiesse contains no animal derived components, and has been clinically tested and found to be safe. Because CaHA is naturally found in the body, skin testing is not necessary. You may experience some mild irritation, swelling or itching. You may also notice a slight discoloration of the area of the injection which usually disappears within a few days.
