Male To Female Surgery
Male to female surgery or vice versa is referred to as sex reassignment surgery, sex change surgery or gender reassignment surgery. It is not a single operation or procedure. Instead, male to female surgery consists of inter-related operations and medical measures designed to feminize the male patient. Each type of surgery comprises 1 step on the road to altering gender. The extent of the surgery depends on the desire and the ability of the patient to become a female. The most common of operations for a male to become a female involve the following procedures: vaginoplasty, facial feminization surgery (FFS), breast implants ort enhancement and body sculpting. Additional procedures include voice feminization surgery, tracheal shaves and buttock augmentation. There are also necessary hormonal treatments to supplement and/or reinforce the male to female surgery. Only a skilled team of specialist surgeons and plastic surgeons are capable of providing the specialized services required for male to female surgery.
