Juvederm

Juvederm is a type of injectable filler made primarily of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance found in the skin of mammals. This filler is used by cosmetic surgeons to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and soften deep set folds and lines in the skin. Juvederm is most commonly used to get rid of nasolabial folds, which are also referred to informally as smile lines. It is also regularly used to fill in acne scars or other hollow scars on the face, and may also be used to plump up a patient's lips. The effects of juvederm generally last around six months to one year, at which time the filler is absorbed by the body. A juvederm procedure is thus not a permanent change, which may be an attractive option for some people who are unsure about committing to a more costly and permanent surgery.
