Gynecomastia Surgery

Gynecomastia surgery is often sought out by males suffering from gynecomastia, or enlarged male breasts. This type of surgery is also commonly known as male breast reduction surgery. Gynecomastia may be caused by genetics, and obesity may also be a factor. Compression garments and some medications may be used to help alleviate gynecomastia, however often these techniques are not sufficient to correct the problem. Males suffering from this condition may feel insecure or embarrassed, and the condition can cause both physical discomfort as well as feelings of anxiety and depression. Because of this, gynecomastia surgery may help, allowing males suffering from gynecomastia the chance to live a happier and more fulfilled life. Liposuction, excision of glands, or mammoplasty may be used to reduce the size of male breasts.
