Breast Lift Fact

The Breast Lift is a surgical procedure also known as a mastopexy. Unlike an implant procedure, a breast lift does not introduce prostheses into the body. Instead, a Breast Lift addresses the pendulous-ness of the breast and aims to return to the breast the fullness and firmness that was perhaps more prevalent in the region earlier in life. The Breast Lift is especially common in older women, particularly those who may have had children and have breast-fed. Again, the issue is generally related to position and not to size. The Breast Lift often yield the same positive changes in self-esteem as do breast implants. While supportive bras may mimic the type of re-positioning associated with the Breast Lift, the effect quickly goes away when the bra is removed. The Breast Lift is a permanent solution to pendulous breasts.
