After Nose Job
After nose job involves the treatment of patients recovering from Rhinoplasty, also known as a nose job. After a nose job it is very common for the face and nose to be bruised, swollen and sore. Some bleeding may also occur. While these issues subside after one to two weeks, minor swelling may persist for several months. The first two days after a nose job are especially critical. During the first day the patient should remain in bed with their head elevated. Bending over should be avoided for the first week. It is also advisable to take things fairly easy for the first week after a nose job, your doctor will advise you on the post-proceedure plan. As a rule it is good to avoid lifting weights and flying for two weeks and sports that may involve injuring the nose for eight weeks. While contact lenses can be used, eyeglasses should not as they could potentially injury the patient after a nose job.
