The expense associated with microdermabrasion depends on how often you receive treatment and who performs the procedure.  There are now home microdermabrasion kits that men can use in the comfort of their own home.  These kits cost anywhere from $15.00 to $50.00.  Many spas also offer microdermabrasion services for men and they charge anywhere from $20.00 to $100.00 per treatment. 

Dermatologists also offer microdermabrasion plastic surgery for men and their services cost between $50.00 and $200.00 per treatment.  Since the number of treatments vary and often depend on the results you with to achieve and the amount of scaring or wrinkles you wish to remove microdermabrasion could end up costing a man thousands of dollars over the years.  Some men have even spent upwards of $25,000.00 for microdermabrasion procedures.

The Downside of Microdermabrasion

Like many procedures that are purely cosmetic there are downsides to receiving microdermabrasion.  The first is the cost.  Microdermabrasion can become expensive if it becomes part of your scheduled skin care routine.  Using in home microdermabrasion kits can help reduce the costs but that leads to another problem, using microdermabrasion too frequently.  It is possible to go overboard with microdermabrasion and using this procedure too often could lead to skin irritation and even pain.  When starting microdermabrasion it is important to talk to a dermatologist regarding how often one can safely perform microdermabrasion on their skin.
